DealVictor ("we", "us", "our") operates the website dealvictor.com and its related mobile experiences (together, the "Platform"), a marketplace connecting users with local services, freelancers, an online shop (DV Store), influencers, and open projects. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using any part of the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Account information: full name, username, email address, phone number, and password (stored securely, never in plain text) when you register.
  • Profile information: photos, business or service details, portfolio items, skills, rates, location (city/country), and social media handles you choose to add if you list a service, sign up as a freelancer, or create an influencer profile.
  • Transactional information: orders placed on DV Store, project bids, membership plan purchases, and wallet transaction history, processed through our payment partner Razorpay. We do not store your full card or UPI details ourselves.
  • Communications: messages you send through our in-platform chat, reviews, comments, and reactions you post on services, influencers, or during live streams.
  • Media uploads: images and files you upload for your profile, services, or products, hosted via our media partner Cloudinary.
  • Usage data: pages visited, searches performed, device/browser type, and approximate location inferred from your IP address, used to improve the Platform and show relevant listings.
  • Live streaming data: if you host or join a live session, we process a temporary connection through our streaming partner (LiveKit) and store the chat/reaction history and session metadata associated with that live session.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and maintain your account and display your public profile to other users.
  • To connect buyers with service providers, freelancers, and influencers, and to facilitate chat between them.
  • To process orders, bids, membership payments, and wallet withdrawals.
  • To send you notifications about messages, orders, live sessions from creators you follow, and account activity.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse of the Platform.
  • To improve our services, including analysing which categories and features are most used.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With other users: your public profile, listings, ratings, and reviews are visible to other Platform users, as intended for a marketplace.
  • Service providers: we use trusted third parties to operate the Platform — Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudinary (image hosting), Razorpay (payments), and LiveKit (live video streaming). Each processes only the data necessary to perform their function.
  • Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DealVictor, our users, or the public.

4. Your Choices and Rights

  • You can review and update your profile information at any time from your Dashboard.
  • You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the email below; some transaction records may be retained as required by law.
  • You can control notification preferences from your account settings.
  • You may disable cookies in your browser, though some Platform features may not work correctly without them.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-controlled databases, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the revised policy.
